Dedicated AI and machine learning lab approved for IET students

DAVV’s Executive Council has approved setting up an artificial intelligence and machine learning laboratory at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET). The decision covers procurement of equipment, furniture and related material so students have dedicated infrastructure for practical learning and training in AI/ML—skills that are increasingly central across engineering programmes. The approval came alongside other academic and infrastructure proposals aimed at supporting demand-driven, employment-oriented programmes. Source: The Times of India (August 2026).
